Values

HealthXcel Institute is a company that has not only commercial but also social and environmental values that are rooted into the advancement of education and health for humanity. The following summarises the main values that we follow on a day-to-day-basis:

Good Health and Wellbeing

  • Only by improving the standard of care in all healthcare systems globally will proper health and wellbeing become a reality for people. Since we are in the era of digitisation, we fully believe that the adoption of software, medical technologies and specialised digital tools is the quickest way to achieve that.
Quality Education for all
  • We understand that education is the main pillar upon which the future of society is built and therefore our courses and programmes are open to all global citizens without any discrimination. For those students that cannot afford to pay the entrance fees, we are already starting to work with healthcare and pharmaceutical companies to start offering sponsorships in the future as this would align perfectly with our values.

Equality & Inclusion

  • HXI is fully committed to the principles of inclusion, gender equality and respect for diversity, and has in place concrete measures to enshrine these values in our day-to-day operations. We are fully aligned with the principles enshrined within the European Pillar of Social Rights, the EU’s Gender Equality Strategy 2020-2025, and all applicable national equality legislation to which our respective founding entities are bound (Malta, Netherlands, Ireland, Germany).

EU Green Deal and Environmental values

  • HXI is limiting the amount of air travel for the medical, healthcare and pharmaceutical professionals that want to follow quality training. This in turn limits the amount of CO2 emissions from such travel (contributing to Climate Neutrality).
  • We are developing our AI digital architecture to be lean and not energy hungry, since we know that constant processing and training of algorithms is very energy inefficient, and thus we are working on a system where this is at an optimal level, to balance out energy usage (contributing to Clean Industry goals).
  • Finally, within our course contents we will be teaching about digital technologies to be used in the healthcare and pharma industry to improve efficiency and limit waste. For example using internet of things sensor technologies within hospitals and labs will reduce the need for consumables that would otherwise be extra waste (contributing to Zero Waste goals).
